A Letter From The Captain 2016

Dear Fellow Retreatants,

It has been almost two months since our group’s retreat, even though it feels like it was only yesterday that we all shared a wonderful weekend together.  Hopefully you enjoyed the rest of your Father’s Day and are all having a happy and healthy summer.  The reason that I am writing to you today is simply to thank you for your support during this year’s retreat while I was your C.A. Captain.  It was truly an honor to have been chosen to hold this position and I’m forever grateful to all of you for making my job very easy.  We had a lot of changes to our weekend as a member of the Pilot program, but everyone welcomed them with open arms.  Our retreat director Fr. Joseph Corley and guest speaker Kevin Reilly were both phenomenal and our group will continue to bring retreat directors and guest speakers of this high quality in the future.  As we look towards the future, the continued success of our group lies in our recruiting efforts which include our “Bring-A-Man” concept and our social media presence to reach new men.  Many of us were brought to Malvern by a close friend or family member so please try to give this gift to someone else by inviting them to our Six-Three Retreat in 2017.  Next year’s retreat will take place from Friday, June 16th through Sunday, June 18th and Jim Beehler will be our C.A Captain.  You can register through our website sixthreegroup.com which also contains information about our group and Malvern Retreat House.  We are also looking to connect with more people through our Facebook page Six Three Group-Malvern Retreat House.  Ralph Shicatano does a great job on both of these forums and I will be assisting him on the Facebook page.  If there is anything that you would like us to post or send out to the group, please feel free to reach out to either of us and we will make it happen.  In closing, I would like to thank each of you again for the success of this past year’s retreat and hope to see you all again in 2017!
