Bill Antinore – Featured Guest Speaker Six Three 2011

Bill & Brenda Antinore

Bill & Brenda Antinore

“When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you? Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”  Matthew 25:38

This year we will be introduced to a exceptional man who will share with us his remarkable journey through life which landed him as the Director of  The Seeds of Hope Ministries (SOHM) in Camden NJ to do the Lord’s work. But this is only a portion of Bill’s life story. The whole story of Bill’s journey must be heard first hand from Bill to be believed.

Bill will share his stirring testimony of how he went from being a successful lawyer with all the world could afford a man, to being arrested and incarcerated, losing everything.  Bill will tell of how God faithfully met him, restored and redirected his life, and how he and his wife Brenda now dedicate their lives to “the least of these”!

Seeds of Hope Ministries is the umbrella organization for three ministries that have operated within the City of Camden, NJ for many years. South Jersey Aftercare, which has been in existence since 1998, is an ex-offender reentry ministry for men and women returning from prison. We seek to facilitate the transformation of prisoners and their reconciliation to God, family, and community through our weekly programs, transitional housing and most importantly, the power and truth of Jesus Christ. My Father’s Hands, an outreach ministry to people who find themselves on the streets of Camden (homeless, drug addicts, alcoholics, lost), has been serving people on the street since 2003. Our desire is that they will not only be clothed and fed, but that they will be receptive to the Good News of the Gospel. She Has A Name, which had its beginnings in 2005, is a specific outreach to the ladies who find themselves in bondage to drugs and eventual prostitution. We share practical care and the unconditional love of Christ with these women who walk the streets of inner city Camden.

Through many volunteers and the provision of individual donations, we are able to reach out to the least, the last and the lost with love, compassion and tangible help that comes in countless forms. We consider it a joy and a privilege to care for individuals that the world would prefer to ignore or kick to the curb. Our mission and vision is to see lives changed by the Gospel for the glory of God.

2011 Men’s Spirituality Conference

Fr. Gregory J. Hickey

Being a leader is not a position or a title. It is a frame of mind and practice. Being a leader begins with an individual finding voice and taking action. Effective leaders influence others to find their voice, take action, and become leaders, creating a ripple effect. Though some people truly may be “born leaders”, each of us can build our capacity for leadership.

Men of Malvern logo

Men, I’m sure you have seen logos on obituary pages that identify the deceased with an organization or service with which they were involved during his or her lifetime.  The League would like to provide the families of our deceased retreatants with a logo that identifies our deceased as Men of Malvern (there is women’s version as well). When shown in an obituary it will tell all readers including those of us in the Malvern community that one of our members has passed away. We are posting this logo so that you can identify our members and to help make this logo available to the families of our past brothers.
